"None of us perceive the world in exactly the same way. Our oneness lies in a yearning to touch and to understand. My work is an endeavor to share my thoughts and vision through form and color and relationships, hoping to charge my images with meaning which will reach across the spaces between us."

Over the years I’ve learned to appreciate excellence although I rarely achieve it. The closest I come is in the ephemeral areas of concept and integrity. But, since I believe that my next effort will be my best, I will continue to pursue excellence.

Description

An angel appeared to Anne, the wife of Joachim, who was childless and advanced in years. She was told that, “Anne, thy Lord hath heard thy prayer and thou shalt conceive and bring forth, and t hy seed shall be spoken of in all the world.” And thus Anne became mother of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

This cross is inspired by a wrought iron design before the alter of St. Anne in the Basilica os Sacre Coeur atop Montmatre in Paris, France. St. Anne is the patroness of house-wives and women in labor. A special alter at the Sacre Coeur id dedictaed to women and children at risk in occupied France in WWII.
