46th Annual Juried Friends Show

March 5 – April 18, 2027

Now in its 46th year, the Sedona Arts Center (SAC) is excited to present its annual Juried Friends Show and Sale. Artists of all levels, working in all mediums are invited to enter but you must be a donor at the Sedona Arts Center (SAC) Friend Level, which starts at $70. The exhibition will run from March 5 – April 18, 2027

  • Monetary awards will be given for First Place/Best of Show Award ($500), Second ($250)  and Third ($150) place.
  • Honorable mention awards will be awarded at the discretion of the jurors and no monetary amount attached.
  • People’s Choice Award is announced at the end of the show. No monetary attached.

Emerging to professional artists, 18 years and older can apply. Artwork must be made within the last 3 years and cannot have been on display in any other Sedona Arts Center (SAC) Exhibition.

DEADLINE for Submission: February 5, 2027. 

Notifications sent by February 12, 2027.

Work being shipped must be received by March 3, 2027 or hand delivered by March 3, 2027.  The show will run from March 5 – April 18, 2027, on-site at the Sedona Arts Center (SAC).

17th Big Gay Art Show

June 4 – July 18, 2027

Sedona Arts Center proudly presents the 17th Big Gay Art Show — an annual juried exhibition that celebrates vibrant creative expression from the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies. This much-anticipated event invites artists of all backgrounds, experience levels, and mediums to share their unique voices through visual art.  Originally envisioned in 2009 by a passionate group of artists and community members — some affiliated with Sedona Arts Center, others with Sedona Pride — the show was created as an inclusive platform to uplift and amplify queer artists within the local arts scene. Over the years, it has evolved into a cherished tradition, drawing hundreds of emerging and established artists to Sedona. Now produced entirely by Sedona Arts Center at the request of Sedona Pride, the exhibition continues to offer a joyful, affirming space for connection, visibility, and artistic celebration.

The Big Gay Art Show is a juried art show that exhibits and sells artwork in support of the LGBTQ+ community and allies. The Big Gay Art Show is a much anticipated, well attended exhibition open to all artists, not just in the LGBTQIA+ Community, but ALL ALLIES as well in any medium and of any level.

In 2012, the Big Gay Art Show was conceptualized by a small group – some connected to SAC and others in the Sedona Pride organization. The event began as an effort to offer the LGBTQIA+ community a voice in the local art scene. Since that first show, SAC has welcomed hundreds of emerging and professional artists to Sedona to share their work throughout the history of the event.  All art mediums will be accepted.
