"None of us perceive the world in exactly the same way. Our oneness lies in a yearning to touch and to understand. My work is an endeavor to share my thoughts and vision through form and color and relationships, hoping to charge my images with meaning which will reach across the spaces between us."

Over the years I’ve learned to appreciate excellence although I rarely achieve it. The closest I come is in the ephemeral areas of concept and integrity. But, since I believe that my next effort will be my best, I will continue to pursue excellence.

Description

The town of Sedona, Arizona is situated within limits set by towering cliffs of red sandstone which were carved over millenia by the patient abrasion of a strem now know as Oak Creek Canyon. Although huge Arizona sycamore trees set their feet in damp soil along the creek bed, the ancient elders of the canyon are the hardy oak trees that persist in the arid reaches of rock and catus above.

This cross is a free form design based on acorns and oaks leaves, symbolizig the persistence of the human spirit in the face of trial adversity.
