Cathedral Rock Nightscape
This photo of Cathedral Rock was shot in early May just before the moon set. The light on Cathedral Rock and Oak Creek is from the setting Moon. The foreground was lit using a warm colored flashlight. Dark Horse Nebula can be seen just above the center of Cathedral Rock. The dark area is t he result of a molecular dust cloud lying between the Earth and galatic center.
