Description

Between Heaven and Earth

This image shows a reflection of Cathedral Rock in Oak Creek. It was taken east of Red Rock Crossing at sunset in early December. Some fall color remained on the trees. Cathedral Rock has four peaks and three saddles. It is possible to hike to the saddles by scrambling up Cathedral’s east side. It is not possible to summit without rock climbing. Cathedral Rock is one of four main vortexes in Sedona. The Vortex is strongest where Oak Creek is closest to Cathedral, a bit east of where this image was taken. The New Age Movement believes this vortex contains feminine energy.
