Stars and Swirls
The Second Wave is a sandstone rock formation located near the Arizona-Utah border, in the South Coyote Buttes. It is famous among hikers and photographers for its colorful, undulating forms, and the rugged, 6-mile round trip hike required to reach it. This image was taken after sunset. It required a difficult hike out in the dark but was well worth the effort.
Dye-Infused Metal prints represent a new art medium for preserving photos by infusing dyes directly into specially coated metal sheets. They are vibrant and have a luminous back-lit quality that paper prints cannot achieve. Because the image is infused into the surface and not on it, the archival qualities of this unique process are unparalleled. The coating is largely scratch proof, and shows less glare than prints framed under glass. The addition of a Floating Frame is a further enhancement to this modern look.
