Description

Alone at the Wave

The Wave is a sandstone rock fornation located near the Arizona-Utah border, in the South Coyote Buttes. It is famous among hikers and photographers for its colorful, undulating forms, and the rugged 6mile round trip hike to reach it. Acces is limited to 20 people a day, selected by a heavily subscribed lottery process and winning a permit is acuse for celebration. Conditions vary every time I visit and I never tire of its beauty.
