Mark Bahti has been in the Indian arts business for over 50 years. His education includes a BS in Archaeology from Prescott College, an MA in American Indian Studies, University of Arizona and a PhD work (ABD) at Arizona State University. He is a Fellow of the Society for Applied Anthropology (1989) and of the Royal Anthropological Institute (1991).  Mark is a charter member and one of the founders of the Indian Arts and Crafts Association and the founding co-chair and current member of the Institute of American Indian Art (IAIA) Foundation.  He is a former board member of the Southwest Association for Indian Arts (SWAIA) and of the Amerind Foundation. Mark has been a board member of the Tucson Indian Center since 1976.  He is the  author of many articles and presentations  (professional and popular) that, fundamentally, dealt with cross-cultural communication issues on IPR topics affecting Native culture.
