Luby Haider (She/Her)
Born and raided in Pakistan, Luby received M.A. in Art History from California State University, Los Angeles. While teaching art and architectural history to college students in Los Angeles, she continued to study painting at the American Animation Institute. The evolution of her professional work includes both figurative and abstract paintings. She is currently based in St Petersburg, FL.
Artist Statement:
Nature provides the best inspiration for my art. The beauty of male body is an under appreciated art form in our culture. I see humans as part of the divine cosmic energy and one with nature. As an artist I use both male and female nude as a representation of the topography of earth; just like rock formations or contours in a landscape. My goal is to create images that provoke thought, imagination, and feelings in the viewer.
