Janet Ballweg earned a BS in Art from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MFA from the University of Illinois-Champaign/Urbana. Her studio practice focuses on constructions of memory and the domestic experience through the use of integrated digital and traditional printmaking technologies. Exhibited in over 500 exhibitions across the U.S. and abroad, her work has won numerous awards, including an Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence Award and awarded residencies at the Guanlan Printmaking Base in Guanlan (China), the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown (MA), and Brush Creek Ranch in Saratoga (WY). She is currently a Professor of Art at Bowling Green State University, where she serves as the Head of the Printmaking program.
