Board of Directors – President

Dr. Bruce Peek is a retired interventional cardiologist.  Dr. Peek original home was Colorado, enjoying the mountains and skiing, working ski patrol for many years during his tenure at University of Colorado.  He then departed for the east coast and attended medical school in New York, graduating in 1982 and returning to the west to complete his residency and fellowship in cardiology in Phoenix.

Dr. Peek practiced in north Phoenix for 15 years and then moved to Cottonwood to help establish an interventional cardiology program in Northern Arizona.  For the first time, patients did not need to be subjected to the delays inherent in transfer to Phoenix and could receive timely technical care in the Verde Valley.

Dr. Peek retired in 2018 from clinical practice and is now active in several nonprofit organizations and volunteering for the National Park Service Preventative Search and Rescue Program.  He and his wife Ann split much of their time between Cottonwood and Plattsburgh, New York where their daughter and grandchildren live.  They enjoy exploring Washington, D.C where there son lives practicing international law.

Dr. Peek joined the Board of Directors in 2018 after learning ceramics with Dennis Ott at SAC.

Dr. Peek is an active ceramicist and woodturner, and enjoys fiber arts and fly fishing in his spare time.
