I am a retired cardiologist who has lived in Arizona for the past 43 years. I started my art vocation working in the ceramics classes at SAC and have progressed to my own studio. I prefer working with alternative firings, asymmetrical pieces and unusual architectural shapes. I was introduced to foil saggar technique and fell in love with the variety of possibilities and the unknown result prior to peeling off the foil. My favorite pieces are those produced after I am told “you can’t do that.”
