Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and graduated high school in Phoenix, Arizona. Education: Art Institute of Colorado
Deborah has been creating art since childhood and decided by the age of 13 that she wanted to be a professional artist. After high school she attended Colorado Institute of art and then worked in graphic design and illustration before pursuing a fine art career.
Inspired by the landscape, she especially enjoys traveling and plein air painting. In Spring 2019, Deborah and her husband sold their house in Colorado and started a life of travel in an RV. Crossing the country following nice weather, she was working on a project of 80 8 x 8 plein air paintings for a gallery show. The timing for this lifestyle change couldn’t have been better, since covid hit the following Winter, they were isolated and working from their traveling home. Eventually, they settled in Cottonwood, Arizona but still spend months on the road exploring new landscapes.
Deborah has exhibited with Women Artists of the West, Oil Painters of America and spent several years as a board member of Plein Air Artists Colorado. Representation includes Zen Mountain Gallery in Cottonwood, AZ, Rijks Gallery, Crested Butte, and Mary Williams Fine Arts in Boulder.
