Cesar Duarte is a Hispanic ceramic artist born in Yuma, Arizona in September 2001. He is currently in Flagstaff, Arizona working towards his BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts) emphasizing in ceramics. Cesar started working in clay his sophomore year of high school and continued to take classes until he officially switched majors in the Fall of 2023. He was originally a Nursing student but couldn’t help but think of being in the ceramic studio while in classes nor keep himself from drawing ceramics forms during lectures. He is dedicated to perfecting a few select wheel-thrown forms and his surfaces rely on how glazes interact during the firing process.
