Barbara moved from Southern California to Arizona in 1994 with her husband and two daughters. She joined the Tucson Plein Air Painters Society in 2002 and was hooked! She continued following trails, swatting bugs and chasing light. Barbara served as president of
the Sonoran Plein Air Painters (formerly TPAPS) and is currently a Signature member. Barbara’s works are very expressive with color and texture. After exclusively working with palette knifes, Barbara has incorporated brushwork to her paintings giving them the best of
sound brushwork and knife techniques. She teaches oil painting classes and workshops as well as participating in National Plein Air competitons and shows.
