Artist’s Statement
After 35 years as an art educator in the public schools, I have been working primarily on collage and mixed media in my retirement. I often say that I paint and sculpt with paper. I enjoy integrating discarded items, everyday objects and repurposing materials The result is artwork that is organic, multi-layered and textural. Inspirations include my midwest landscape, nature, angels, whimsy and abstract compositions.
Artist Bio:
Graduated from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa majoring in art and education. Taught art ed. in Galesburg, IL for 35 year. Have had work displayed in Illinois, Missouri, Michigan, Indiana, Colorado, Pennsylvania and California. My husband and I have a page on Facebook titled: Paper Moon Arts: Collage, Mixed Media and Stained Glass.
