I am a Boulder based artist. I work in oils and dried oil shavings that I collect by scraping off my old paint pallets.
I have been painting for 30 years but I have no formal training. For me painting is an intuitive process that allows me to express complex emotions and thoughts and transform them into beauty.
My most recent completed oil painting series is called the Mia Series. I worked on this series following the death of my 16 year old daughter in 2014. It expresses the deeply transformative journey of grief and healing, aynd the exquisite beauty that arose through this journey.
I am currently working on a series called Transformation.
