Dr. Iris Yang (Qing Yang) is an author of three historical novels, two photo books (“Enjoy Flower I” and “Enjoy Flower II” published in China), and a dozen Chinese magazine articles with photos (one of her photos was used as the cover of China Nature). Her photos have won a few photo contests. She also has a Ph.D. in molecular biology. Her historical trilogy about the Flying Tigers—Wings of a Flying Tiger, Will of a Tiger, Legacy of the Tigers—has been published by Open Books. She was interviewed on National Public Radio, and she was a guest speaker at the Flying Tigers WWII Veterans 78th Anniversary Reunion. As an avid hiker, she is passionate about nature photography including landscapes, flowers, birds, and other animals.

Puffins breed in large colonies on coastal cliffs or offshore islands. Iceland is home to more than 60% of the world’s entire Atlantic puffin population. With colorful beaks and feet, they are doll-like and adorable.
