I grew up in Santa Fe, NM surrounded by some of the best art in the country. Although I had an appreciation for art, especially western art, I never attempted to produce any art myself until much later in life.  A few years ago, I had a near-death experience that left me almost completely paralyzed and slightly brain-damaged.  After months in the hospital and many more months of physical and occupational therapy, it was suggested that I try drawing, painting or sculpting to improve my eye-hand coordination and learning skills.  Since I was no longer able to continue with my career, I spent numerous hours watching instructional videos and practicing drawing, oil painting, and sculpting. My art style is abstract impressionist expressions of Western scenes.  Although my preferred subjects are western scenes with cowboys and native Americans, I enjoy creating art that borders on the absurd. I like to produce art that tells a story…not just my story but the story conjured up by the viewer.  I also like to produce art that makes the viewer smile.
