Sondra Brunone fell in love with the art of making pottery in high school, yet didn’t touch clay – or a pottery wheel – again until moving to Sedona in 2022, when she and her husband (also a potter) became students of Dennis Ott at Sedona Art Center.
During her career, Sondra spent many years traveling the world as a Producer & Director, capturing video and film imagery for luxury travel brands. The wide range of indigenous art she discovered during her travels became perhaps the strongest inspiration for her current ceramic work.
Her love of abstraction and the story-driven Australian Aboriginal works of art are combined in her colorful and painstakingly created ceramic vessels.
