Joy Wolfe has been an advocate for the arts for over 40 years and views herself as an artist and lifelong learner who is passionate about educating the public to why the arts are vitally important to our culture and humanity.

She has studied art history, commercial art, fine art, interior design, marketing, small business management, and fine art appraising. Joy is a former member of the PPFA, Professional Picture Framers of America and has been a custom picture framer for many established award winning artists around the world.

In 2007, Joy’s passion brought her to Amsterdam to study art history and interior design respectively at the Van Gogh and other museums in Holland. After a decade in interior design she pivoted to working with artists and collectors.

After two years of documenting and organizing the collection of Master Artist Jon Arfstrom, Joy started a 501c3 non-profit in 2018 for his wife and family. He left an indelible legacy and collection of over 2000 pieces of fine art.

Joy is on the Board of Directors for the Atelier Studio Program of Fine Arts in Minneapolis. She teaches workshops in DIY Framing and Art Collection Management, helps fundraise and is the Curator of the Lynn Maderich Collection for the Atelier. She has curated dozens of art exhibitions, given lectures on artists and works as a liaison with families on art legacy.

Fine Art Advocates was founded to incorporate the multiple disciplines Joy values and to be a strong voice for the arts. Over the past decade she has been advising emerging artists in Minneapolis and around the country. As a consultant and art appraiser she is committed to providing services that educate and facilitate thoughtful communication in the art communities that she works within.
