Jimmy Navarro is a contemporary Impressionist painter working out of Des Moines, Iowa. His paintings focus on color and light trying to capture the essence, the mood of what he sees using Golden Open acrylics.
Born and raised in the Driftless Region of Western Wisconsin he has a connection with it’s unique rolling landscape and nostalgic farm life.
“The practice of Plein Air to me is not always about creating a completed “Alla Prima” painting but more about just being outdoors enjoying the process and absorbing nature without anyone giving me their two cents for a few hours.”
