Painting Plein Air watercolors is my passion. I am an observer of life searching for natural arrangements as they occur either in nature or manmade environments. This stems from a career as an architectural illustrator sketching houses for the real estate and illustrating 14 travel books. I focus on a wide variety of subjects from vehicles to structures looking for shadow shapes and complex perspectives. I like to depict how we live in different environments. Curiosity drives me and every painting has an intent. Strong color and accurate drawing is a foundation in my paintings and I am fascinated with the transparency of watercolor.
