Finding Beauty with Water and Wood

September 2, 2019 @ 10:00 am - September 8, 2019 @ 5:00 pm

Finding Beauty with Water and Wood – an exhibition of elegant watercolors and finely crafted wooden objects.

Sedona Artists, Katie Sluder and Ken Ledeen, are presenting a unique and exciting exhibit combining a collection of recent watercolors with works in wood that range from practical to purely artistic.
These two artists left the corporate life to pursue artistic opportunities in quite different media.
Katie Sluder’s watercolors are subtle and expressive, capturing the emotion of a moment or place. Her pieces have been widely exhibited, and are in collections in the United States, Europe and Asia. She is inspired by the interplay of light and shadow, seeking to capture the feeling evoked by majestic landscapes and intimate still lifes.
Ken Ledeen has been exploring the potential of creating wooden work using a lathe for more than 20 years. He has produced a large body of both artistic and utilitarian pieces and has done large collaborative projects in Nepal and Cambodia.
Whether you want to simply enjoy works of art, find a painting that will capture the spirit of Sedona, or take home a beautifully crafted gift, this is a show that should be seen.

Join us for a fun and fantastic reception on September 6th First Friday, 5-8pm.

This special exhibition will be open Sept 2-8 from 10am-5pm.
