Muriel was raised in North Central Florida, surrounded by nature and the freedom to explore it. This experience impacted her work as a writer and artist and influenced her values for land conservation, the preservation of nature, and historical places. She has a BFA from Kansas State University and an MFA from the University of Florida. Her small works of art have been exhibited in nationally juried shows in galleries and online. She devotes her creative energy to her Art and Books Studio as a multidiscipline artist/author. Muriel has spent her adult life in Wisconsin with her husband, where they have plenty of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors.

Description

I visited Monet’s garden in Giverny, France. When I magnified my photos, I captured the glowing pollen attached to their bodies as sunlight reflected on their wings. This grid mini-series captures their movement and breaking out of their confined space.
