Summer Youth Camp BUNDLE: Puppet Power and Let’s Go Stop-Mo! with Jillian Sander and Austin Frick

Ages 7 – 12 years old | Theatre Studio

July 22 – 26, 2024 | 10 am – 5 pm | Lunch Break 1 -2 pm

Students are encouraged to sign up for both the morning and afternoon class for an unforgettable combo! With this option, campers will spend mornings building puppets they can then use in the afternoons, seamlessly combining every step of great storytelling. This full-day immersive course is a blast for little creatives; campers will not only learn a wonderful mishmash of new art skills, they’ll also make friends and create some lasting summer memories in a collaborative and fun environment!

Jillian Sander

Jillian Sander

Jillian Sander is a crafter of whimsy and life’s fantastical little wonders. Jillian is a multimedia artist with a focus in illustration, painting, and fiber sculpture. Though her practice is multi-faceted, she finds that her themes stay constant, and she spends much of her time exploring the depths of imagination. Often, she discovers there’s magic to be found all around her! Jillian is constantly amazed by the intricacies of the natural world, and spends much of her time researching flora and fauna and adventuring in the great outdoors to get up close and personal, and oftentimes a little muddy. Jillian earned her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and currently resides in Flagstaff, AZ, where she runs her business, The Crafty Critter. Her work has traversed multiple anthologies, galleries, businesses, publications, murals, screenings, and fests, and she has taught workshops and classes of all sorts. She is pleased as punch to be bringing her expertise to the lovely community of Sedona.

Austin Frick

Austin Frick

Austin Frick is an award-winning animator and animation professor at NAU. His past work includes music videos and festival visuals for noteworthy clients such as Portugal. The Man, Still Woozy, and Thrasher Magazine, and independent films. Austin focuses on the fields of stop motion, story development, puppet fabrication, and character animation. His personal work has been screened internationally, and he loves sharing his wonderfully wacky characters with the world.

Cancellation Policy

 Registration

  • Each student must enroll individually.
  • Students may register online or by calling the Sedona Arts Center’s Office at 928-282-3809, ext 1.
  • Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express are accepted or student may pay with cash or check by registering in person during office hours, 9 am – 5 pm, Mon – Fri.

In-Person and Online Workshops

  • Payment in full is due upon registration, or a payment plan can be put in place by the student upon check-out through Sezzle.
  • There is a $25 Cancellation Fee for any cancellations made before June 22, 2024. Remaining balance will be refunded.
  • There are no refunds after June 22, 2024.
  • If Sedona Arts Center cancels the workshop for any reason, all payments made will be refunded in full.

Important Message

The Sedona Arts Center is not responsible for providing make-up sessions or issuing refunds, credits, or transfers for courses missed as a result of illness, emergencies, or other events beyond our control. There are absolutely no refunds after the cut-off date for any reason, unless the Sedona Arts Center has to cancel the workshop, then all fees paid will be refunded in full.
