Kathi Knox
Kathi Knox is a printmaker based in Phoenix. She studied art and agriculture at the University of Arizona, earning a bachelor’s degree in agriculture and animal science. After a full-time career in natural resources and agriculture, she returned to art, focusing on printmaking. She is most interested in the structure, pattern and beauty of ordinary things in our daily surroundings. Inspired by the photography of Karl Blossfeldt’s extreme close-ups and intense focus on the symmetry of a single plant, her prints in the Small Works Show depict the characteristics of grama grass as it circles and spirals at summer’s end.
