For over 35 years, I have created art as a graphic designer for corporations and not-for-profits.
My "real" art reflects my life experiences as a musician, an aunt, a bonus mom, a grandmother, a sister, a friend and an advocate for individuals without a voice. I create original art in a variety of media including pen and ink, color pencil, watercolor and stone (i.e., limestone, marble, alabaster).
"Embrace" is my first completed sculpture in marble. It is a small work that celebrates the feelings and emotions experienced between two beings through an embrace.
My process may begin with a single medium such as pen and color pencil. Then, it may evolve to include other media such as acrylic paint or organic materials. My art is available for sale in Louisville through a local gallery, online and one-of-a-kind gifts on commissions. My work is also part of several private collections in Louisville and Southern Indiana.
Whether created in stone or mixed media, my hope is that my work will strike the heart of the individual viewer evoking an emotion from a personal experience or address a current issue that may be surrounding them. I am often surprised by the message individuals derive from my work. I find that very exciting
