The versatile and dynamic world of surface decoration
Sunday, September 27, 2026 | 9 am – 4 pm | All Levels | Dennis Ott Ceramics Studio
Discover the versatile and dynamic world of surface decoration using underglaze decals! In this intensive, one-day workshop led by Flagstaff ceramic artist Rena Hamilton, participants will learn how to elevate their ceramic surfaces by building rich, narrative layers on clay.
Underglaze decals offer an exciting way to transfer intricate patterns, line work, and imagery directly onto your forms. Rena will demonstrate various transfer techniques, discuss design layout and composition, and share strategies for combining commercial and custom decals with other surface treatments.
