I grew up in Santa Fe, NM surrounded by some of the best art in the country. Although I had an appreciation for art, especially western art, I never attempted to produce any art myself until much later in life.  A few years ago, I had a near-death experience that left me almost completely paralyzed and slightly brain-damaged.  After months in the hospital and many more months of physical and occupational therapy, it was suggested that I try drawing, painting or sculpting to improve my eye-hand coordination and learning skills.
