The weather is finally starting to feel more like spring and despite the blustery start to the week, we have lots on tap!
Today we open Jan Sitts: A Retrospective. Jan is longtime Sedona resident, Sedona Arts Center artist and instructor. The work in this show represents her history from the early 70’s to present day and will run from April 3 – 14.
AZ Gives Day is April 4! While we encourage all to support the arts EVERY day, this is a special day for nonprofit giving throughout our state. Our goal is $30,000 and it is especially important this year as we continue to expand our programming and build our capacity for the future. Please consider a gift on our behalf today! You can donate at: www.azgives.org
Celebrate Sedona is Wednesday, April 5 from 4-6PM. Mother Road Trio will be performing and Jan will be on hand to answer questions and greet the public during that time. The Cheesy Javalina food truck will be selling its wares and beer and wine will be for sale as usual. Debra Williamson and Joan Roberts will be our demonstrating artists. Aerialsts from Hydrangea Sky will also be on hand to preview their performance of Unfurl at the Old Town Center in Cottonwood later this month. This event is sponsored by the City of Sedona and APS and is FREE and open to the public.
We will be holding a Patron’s Circle reception on April 13 from 4-6PM in our Special Exhibit Gallery to honor Jan and her work. You must be a Patron’s Circle Member to attend. For more information contact our office at 928-282-3809.
Remember that our Gallery is open 7 days a week (M-Sat 10-5 and Sun 12-5) featuring more than 75 artists from the region. The sales from our Gallery support the artists who exhibit as well as Sedona Arts Center’s programs and events. Also, we are constantly updating our website with additional classes and workshops – please check them out!
Sedona Arts Center’s mission is to connect, enrich, educate and lead through the inspiring power of the arts and creative discovery.
