Founded in 1958, the 501(c)3 nonprofit organization is based in Uptown Sedona and offers year-round classes, exhibitions, festivals, and cultural events that enhance the creative life of the Verde Valley. The Center’s Fine Art Gallery promotes the original works of over 100 local and regional artists and regularly offers special assistance for collectors and art buyers, offers private studio visits, and fosters hundreds of arts education opportunities each year.
This event will provide an opportunity for individuals who are interested in volunteering at the community nonprofit to apply for particular areas of interest.

VISION & SOUND: AN AFRICAN AMERICAN EXPERIENCE
Vision & Sound is a cultural exhibition and series of events featuring the works of African-American artists in early 2022. Vision and Sound uses personal perspective, cultural traditions, and the beauty of the arts to provide audiences insights into the artistic accomplishments of African Americans and promotes inclusion in and through the arts and culture. Over the past six years, Vision & Sound has been held in the greater Phoenix area. This year, it expands to a statewide and virtual focus through the Sedona Arts Center. We will partner with Phoenix area entities to extend the reach of this valued programming while expanding and celebrating the diversity of the African American culture. Some of the programming surrounding this event will include concerts, demonstrations, interactive lectures and a special exhibit in the SEG.
