Angele Florisi
Angele Florisi
Born in Chicago, Angele studied Fashion Design and Merchandising at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. She also has a Bachelors Degree in Jewish Cultural History from Northeastern Illinois University, and did her graduate work in Public Administration and Non-Profit Management at Roosevelt University on a full academic scholar-ship. She moved to Sedona with her husband in 1992, relocated to Las Vegas in2000 and commuted between Las Vegas and Kingman from 2004 to 2016. They met while working at Northwestern University where she managed the campus computer store, and he managed the university’s technical repair facility. After leaving the academic realm, they owned and operated an independent Apple service center for more than three decades. Angele also owned and operated a graphic design firm in the Chicago area, and also in Sedona. With over 40 years of professional experience as a graphic designer, and an almost equal number as a certified Apple computer technician, Angele brings an unusual combination skills to the photographic arts. Despite an extensive collection of over 100,000 photographs she only started showing and selling her work several years ago. Consequently, many of her available images are single, one of kind prints -- all of which she produces herself. Her travel photos and articles have appeared in multiple magazines, and she has been a contributing photographer to Getty Images. Her work has been well received at art shows and galleries; and she has won a number of awards for a wide range of images. Her most popular subjects are her landscapes, vintage vehicles, the decay of rural America and the ancient Native American remains of the four corners region. Recently she also had multiple photos selected for inclusion in a permanent National Park Exhibit in Boulder, Colorado.
