S. Phillip Toroian, a botanical sculptor, gained understanding of artistic composition thru 50 years of botanical design using a spectrum of expressions: illustrating, Floral and Landscape Exhibit design. The wood, etc., reveal nature’s innate beauty. He embraces his work from rocks, soil, roots, stems, blooms, seeds, and mechanical remnants with wanderlust for the natural beauty to be uncovered and shared. “The plants, wood and mechanical remnats reveal defined forms, lines, spaces, color, texture and fragrance unified in motion for a harmonious presentation. Phillip has resided in the Southwest for 40 years and settled in the Arizona Central Highlands with his wife, Nancy Leicht.
