Laura Martinez-Bianco
“I am drawn to landscapes, capturing and preserving the views that have been seen over the years by so many. On location I work in pastels capturing the landscape, the atmosphere and the space surrounding me. Pastels allow me to work in a spontaneous yet deliberate manner, selecting colors and using my hand as the brush filling spaces and creating marks inspired by my surroundings, I focus on representing a specific time of day. The time of day changes the light, the color, the atmosphere: it changes everything.”
