Summer is upon us and we are busier than ever!
We are a few weeks away from the end of our fiscal year and while this has been a stressful year that involved the passing of longtime artists and supporters, we can still celebrate many successes. A few of those successes include the largest Vision + Sound program we’ve ever produced and the most attendees overall to the Arts Center’s programs EVER! I invite you to attend our Virtual Annual Meeting on June 26 at 10am to hear the details. It’s been quite a year.
We just opened the Big Gay Art Show on Friday night with about 225 people in attendance. It was a great night and the show is fantastic. This exhibit will be up until July 25th so you have plenty of time to see it.
We are holding another Art Supply Swap Meet on June 21st. If you have new or gently used supplies that you’d like to donate, you can drop them off Monday – Thursday. In exchange, you can come to the Swap Meet for free and restock! The hours of the Swap Meet will be 10AM – 2PM in the Theater.
In the meantime, we are gearing up for our 67th season and the opening of the first exhibit of our FACE(S) themed year – The Face of Time opens on August 1st with Celebrate Sedona from 4-6pm and Big Daddy D and the Dynamites performing. So mark your calendars and plan on attending.
Finally, I want to express my gratitude to all of you who have supported Sedona Arts Center and the work we do over this past year. It has been a joy to get to know some of you better and to lay the groundwork for the future of this longtime institution. I look forward to what we can all accomplish together.
