Free Talks / Demos on Painting Materials
Presented by Phil Garrett
This lecture and demonstration will be an introduction to Williamsburg Oils , the paints that the late Carl Plansky initially made for the use of himself and his friends and that eventually became the gold standard of artists oils and mediums. The passion that drove Carl’s search for the most beautiful raw materials in the world is evident in the quality and exquisite color of these paints.
In the spring of 2010 Golden Artist Colors assumed responsibility for realizing Carl’s dream for truly unique paints and mediums that reflect not only the traditions of painting in Europe and North America, but the artist’s passion that drives them forward. Carl himself claimed that only Golden Artist Colors could make oil paints with the same integrity and style of Williamsburg. Literature and free samples of paint will be available for all those who attend. Limit 15 students.
Limit 25 Students.
Held in the South Studio March 30, from 10am to Noon.
