Michael McCalla is a stained glass artist who moved to Sedona in early 2017 after having a liver transplant and rediscovering life. This experience gave him a new perspective and an appreciation for the vivid colors and natural textures of Sedona’s landscape. The need for creative expression and appreciation of what life brings each day fueled his desire to create. He used his passion for nature as the foundation for his art. Michael’s appreciation for the beauty in both stones and glass led to experimenting with both materials to create organic “threads” that flow through each piece in natural movements and accented by glass to enhance the beauty.
