After recently rediscovering a passion for painting and switching from watercolors to acrylics, Ali embarked on a journey to capture the male form and challenge societal boundaries. Ali asks what so many of us wonder: why is the nude female figure embraced and men’s bodies largely hidden from view? Recognizing this as a reality, the Modesty Magnet series was deployed to attempt to have artwork with naked men be accepted into more exhibitions. These magnets, barely covering certain parts of the anatomy, serve as a cleverly cheeky way to ease viewers into seeing the male form without exposing everything at once. Unlike in the real world, Modesty Magnets can be removed and replaced as necessary. "Share your truth or hold it close. I believe in the freedom to define yourself, or to remain undefined.
