Sedona Plein Air Festival
Keynote Workshop
* 2021 *
Michele Usibelli will be leading this immersive workshop experience in the midst of the week-long 17th Annual Sedona Plein Air Festival. Participants may paint in oil, acrylic, pastel and gouache. Demonstrations and instruction will focus on the essentials steps of plein air painting. The class will start with an abbreviated lecture on the fundamentals of sound painting, including a discussion of drawing, value, design, and color. Short demonstrations will be combined with one-on-one instruction on location in the beautiful high desert landscape of Sedona.
After three days of on-site painting instruction with students Michele will do a morning demonstration on Friday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm demonstrating her process for creating work in the studio from plein air work and photo reference. For the demonstration students in the workshop will get preferential seating but other students will be attending just the demonstration session.
The Sedona Plein Air Festival takes place October 23 – 30, 2021.
