Your Portfolio & Presentation

A Business of Art Class with Pegie Stark

This interactive class will help a beginner or a professional create a portfolio, a business card, a bio, and supporting print material (and website) reflecting who they are and what their work is about. By defining the spirit of their work, artists can select the proper typography, appropriate grid and a color palette, and develop a set of presentation materials, thereby helping the presentation feel strong and cohesive, organized and ready.

Lots of examples will be shared and discussed through presentation and a Q+A. Each participant will create a list of what type faces they feel reflect their work, sketch grid systems that reflect the pacing and movement that will work for their resume and bio, and develop a color palette that will work in harmony with the mood and meaning of their work. At the end of the session each artist will leave with examples, typographic suggestions, grid systems, and color palettes that they can apply immediately to their presentation kit in order to present their portfolio of art work with confidence and ease.
