“In February, I had the pleasure of attending the Meditation to Creation 2 day workshop. The workshop was led by Ann Brownfield Meara who is a truly gifted teacher and kind, and loving guide. During the workshop, Ann led us through a series of beautiful meditations, after which, we had the opportunity to express our insights and intentions through art. I was thoroughly surprised and delighted to discover my work took on completely new dimensions following the meditation practices. Meditation to Creation was a wonderful workshop and experience and I highly recommend it!”- Julie Africk, participant

“It was new for me to meditate so intensely on a nature image and on nature itself. And it was new to express meditative experiences in form and color. And I liked how Ann approached the group and the meditation techniques. She has a unique way of teaching and I felt she took the time to address the needs of the group. I enjoyed it very much.”-Kathleen Lahiff, participant

“A delightful combination of meditation practices and art making was provided during Ann Meara’s Mediation to Creation workshop at the Sedona Arts Center. Ann’s calming and supportive approach allowed freedom to explore a variety of art media and to learn and follow meditation strategies and prompts. The incredible setting of Sedona’s Art Center combined with creative and calming practices was a powerful and meaningful experience and highly recommended for those seeking creative and personal exploration.-Mignon Dupepe, participant

Tanya

Ann Brownfield Meara holds a beautiful two day class of meditation, experience, exploration, and art. She goes through several different meditation formats - you can learn and choose your favorites. She also provides guidance and wonderful suggestions to engage in art with several different mediums. Each person can create without judgement. Those works created with the least “intention,” but from pure presence and fun really are the “best.” I will go again; you should definitely try it😁

Carla

I truly enjoyed the workshop and was inspired to let go, be playful, be mindful, and to enjoy the moment. I would have loved a 3 day workshop to reinforce the process - and to create more art! I have been practicing mindfulness and doing more art, so the workshop has been beneficial for me.

The March 2020 "Meditation to Creation" workshop, led by instructor Ann Meara, was an inspiring and centering experience for me. Ann's lovely and kind demeanor plus her knowledge, skill and experience with meditation and art helped me feel comfortable in exploring creativity I didn't realize I possessed! In addition, I have been disconnected for awhile from a meditative practice, and the workshop helped me remember how much I love and crave silencing my mind, even if briefly. The combination of the natural beauty surrounding the Sedona Arts Center and Ann's compassionate teaching is a soul-soothing way to, breathe, appreciate nature's beauty and let your inner artist emerge. - Sandy Filler Boles
