I’m captivated by the energy and movement that art can evoke, drawing on my deep appreciation for vibrant, kinetic works. My passion for quilting, ethnographic forms, and tribal art informs my distinctive designs, whether they're floral, abstract, or somewhere in between. My patterns are uniquely my own, inspired by diverse traditions and transformed into something fresh and contemporary. Working with encaustic and drawing upon my background in graphic design, I merge a variety of techniques to create art that feels transformative. My dedication to pointillism—meticulously applying dots of pigment wax with a wax stylus—produces intricate textures that call to mind the delicate craftsmanship of needlepoint, while also conveying a dynamic energy. A lifelong mixed media artist and serial crafter, my creative journey began early and only deepened over time. I discovered quilting during college, and despite the demands of a corporate career that spanned over three decades, I nurtured my artistic side during his evenings and weekends. During this time, I also honed my skills in the Adobe Creative Suite and a broad range of mixed media techniques. Today, I balance my time between two creative hubs: the renowned Artisans Asylum in Boston, where I work out of a collaborative studio, and my own personal studio in the artist haven of Provincetown, Massachusetts.
