Lisa M. Barnes I became interested in jewelry design during my visits to Sedona, Arizona, which is known for spiritual experiences and healing energy vortexes. I would visit the numerous crystal shops and purchase gemstones to help me with my physical ailments or emotional support on my spiritual journey. Over twenty years of studying the metaphysical properties of gemstones has helped me to heal bones, hearts, and spirits.

Description

When creating a new piece, I apply my favorite pastime of imagining pictures in clouds to finding patterns and images in jaspers and agate. The colors and textures of trees and sunsets appear in my designs, and the calm, healing energy of nature is used to connect the wearer with his/her/their authentic self.

In “Arizona Landscape,” I immediately saw mountains, rocks, and trees in the Picture Agate cabochon. Adding turquoise, which is found in mines in Arizona, furth anchors the location of the piece. Turquoise is thought to unite the earth and sky, bringing together male and female energies. It promotes spiritual attunement, releases old inhibitions, and shows how the creation of your fate is ongoing and dependent on what you do at each moment. It stabilizes mood swings and brings inner calm, and is one of the birthstones for December.

Each L.Marjori design is purposefully crafted to unite symbolism and healing stones to support wellness and spiritual journeys, and to express a bold statement of colorful individuality. Spirals, which represent life energy, appear in every design. The materials and techniques I use reflect the characteristics and individuality of humanity. Colorful semi-precious gemstones are chosen for their healing properties, and are most often used in their organic rough, imperfect form. Creating rainbow patinas through a heated chemical reaction produces a one-of-a-kind pattern on each piece of silver. The use of a variety of metals including silver, copper, and bronze, provides a variety of budget options as well as complementing all skin tones.

As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I appreciate the desire to express one’s identity through adornment. I support others’ journeys by offering bold statement jewelry to communicate and unite meaning and individualism.
