Teresa Lewis (She/Her)
Teresa Lewis was born and raised in Houston, Tx. She was always interested in photography but didn’t get serious about it until 2019. Started as a self-care tool in conjunction with therapy, it quickly turned into a passion and sort of journal of her thoughts.
Most of her work comes from a dark place inside. By choosing to share these Personal insights of pain, abuse, and sadness she hopes to resonate with others who might be fighting through similar battles. She wants them to know they aren’t alone in the darkness.
Teresa was the major prize winner in 2020 for the Out From The Mist: Representations of mental health competition. Her photos from that competition were also shown in an article from The Art Of Healing magazine, vol 3 issue 76. She continues to push the boundaries of mental illness and hopes to keep tearing down the stigma that surrounds it.
