I’m a Flagstaff based mixed media artist. After entering my fi rst painting in my 6th grade art show, I was hooked! That love inspired me to take every art class I could growing up in New York City and then Flagstaff, AZ. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design from Northern Arizona University in 1986. In 1995 my husband and I started a small but thriving local printing business which we have owned for over 25 years. Having spent much of my adulthood raising our 2 daughters and running our business, I was overjoyed these past few years to go back to my art roots. I now spend as much time as possible in my sunny Doney Park studio creating mixed media art that I infuse with color and joy.
Through my mixed media process of layering collage with acrylics, watercolors and oil sticks on either canvas or watercolor paper, my intention is to capture and portray the vibrancy, beauty, and joy I fi nd in my relationships with the plants, animals, and natural world in Northern Arizona. I fi nd much inspiration for my art in the ponderosa pine forests I hike in almost daily, and my garden, which is filled with birds, flowers, and sunlight.
