Mixed Media

I am a native Arizonan who paints contemporary acrylics with brilliant color over texture. The artist Andrew Hamilton wrote: “The tip of your brush is the tip of your soul”—and so it is for me.  My art is abstract, expressionistic, and includes symbols that express my gratitude for the universal expression of creativity.

You will find an Entity touched by the light of the Creator in most of my recent work, acknowledging creativity as gift.  This light is also expressed by descending golden squares. There are other symbols in my paintings as well, ready for the viewer to make them their own.

I am a graduate of Arizona State University and a Licensed Professional Counselor. In 2008, I was at a crossroads in my life due to ill health when I picked up a brush and discovered my artistic self.  I immersed myself in the colors daily and found my passion. And passionate I am about my art, painting for several hours each day and studying with master artists.

I am a juried artist with the Arizona Art Alliance and the Sonoran Arts League. I have won ribbons in juried shows. I exhibit in shows throughout Arizona as well the Arizona Fine Arts Expo for 10 weeks in the spring of each year.

I feel that my paintings are an expression from my spirit.  They spring from that well deep within that intuitively knows there is life beyond my own experience.  I am grateful for the ability to express this dimension of myself through my art and for the gift of life itself.
