Linda Riesterer is a fiber artist who often uses hand dyed fabrics, hand applique, and embroidery in her work. In recent years the negative political environment has pushed the normally reserved Linda into expressing her opinions through her art. As a relative of a transgender person, she feels compelled to comment on a government that attempts to dictate its citizens’ most intimate selves.
