My art reflects the awe and inspiration I feel while in nature, traveling, and even in everyday experiences. Through painting and expression with color I strive to capture the essence of a scene or special character of a subject. I find using oils or pastels give me the most vibrant colors for expression. I participate in exhibits and workshops in the Phoenix area where I’ve lived since 1998. I’ve had my work displayed in a variety of venues including Scottsdale Artists School, Shemer Art Center, Tempe History Museum, Tempe Public Library, Sedona Center for the Arts and Liberty Wildlife animal rescue center in Phoenix.

Creativity has always been a part of my life. I studied Nursing at the University of Connecticut and have worked on my art as a hobby throughout my career in healthcare.  While working as an RN full time, most of my art education has been through area workshops and plein air trips over the last 5 years. I enjoy the adventure of plein air painting and have painted in Italy, Sedona, the Grand Canyon and Taos New Mexico. I am an active member of the Tempe Artists Guild.
