Chris has been a full-time artist for over 40 years, has graduate degrees in fine art and art history and has studied at The Art Students League in New York . Her work can be found in public and private spaces throughout the U.S. and abroad – including the homes of notables such as the actor Robert Duvall, The Honorable Kenneth Kaunda (former President of Zambia), Jacqueline Mars and Warren Buffett.
Growing up in Oklahoma and spending summers in Jackson Hole, Wyoming led to a lifelong interest in all things rodeo, “horsey” and Native American – often reflected in the subject matter of Chris’ paintings and murals. The human figure in general – its plastic form and psychological dimensions – are also a source of infinite fascination.
She has traveled extensively and, aside from several years in Africa, has spent most of her adult life in the Washington DC area. She now lives and works in beautiful Sedona, Arizona. Chris is currently the Vice President of the Board of Directors at the Sedona Arts Center. She is also an artist showing in the Fine Art Gallery. ChrisFinefrock.com
