The Tailgate Paint Out is a first-of-its-kind, tailgate style event, focused on artists that have never been to one of our events in the past or are emerging artists. Artists and Observers will be participating together in the sublime environment and stunning beauty that is Sedona. Sedona Arts Center has roots going back 60+ years to the founding of Sedona, and what better way to experience it, than sharing it with your fellow community members. If you haven’t been to, or visited recently, this is a great opportunity to get to know it again.

*Note-All events will take place at Sedona Arts Center.

SATURDAY JUNE 4, 2022

5pm-8pm TAILGATE PAINT OUT

**The Community is invited to attend**

On Saturday, artists will participate in an evening paint out where they will draw or paint at an easel while observers watch in a tailgate formation around them. Observers can enjoy wine, beer, and food, while watching the artists paint the red rock landscape. Observers are encouraged to bring comfy chairs, food, drink, and/or picnic baskets (if you wish) for this tailgate style evening of fun and art!

6:30PM –AWARDS RECEPTION

SUNDAY JUNE 5, 2022

10am-12noon ***COMMUNITY PAINT OUT***

On Sunday, all in attendance will be invited to paint alongside the professional artists. Work from both will be sold off the easel in this inclusive educational event.

One award for BEST COMMUNITY PAINTER (with a prize for $500) will be given away on Sunday.

**Community members wishing to be considered for the prize, and/or to sell your painting at the event, please register with a Staff member when you arrive**

Awards:

Awards will be presented on Saturday and Sunday of the event weekend. Monetary awards will be given for First, Second, and Third place. Honorable mention awards will be awarded at the discretion of the jurors. A total of up to $7500 in awards will be distributed.
